    • IBM z13 is a machine introducing new technology and features like SIMD. The presentation explains changes in the machine and gives recommendations how to exploit the new capabilities in the best way. The theory   is supported by examples and results provided by the Linux on z Systems performance team. Areas touched in this presentation are for instance machine capabilities, locking, single instruction multiple data (SIMD) and networking.
