This session will start with a brief history of ten years of Linux on z Systems and continues with an overview of new features that are currently under development by IBM and the open source community. The presentation will address both z Systems-specific features and platform-independent developments which are relevant to Linux on z Systems. The session will attempt to give an impression of where we came from with Linux on z Systems, and where we are heading.
