DB2 z/OS and Analytics – Why Move the Data?

So many companies handle a large percentage of their transactional and busi-ness critical workload and related data running on IBM z Systems.  Then, be-cause of decisions that are made, the mainframe based data is moved to other platforms for analysis.  So the question is, Why move the data?  This presenta-tion will walk through the considerations of leaving the mainframe data on the mainframe and eliminate the huge costs of moving the data to other platforms.  Analytics of this mainframe based data will be discussed.  The attendee will learn about the cost savings and general business value of this overall ap-proach.  

We are continuing hearing about the need for analytics all while we continue to work with DB2 z/OS and its continued data growth.  So what does the does Big Data, DB2 for z/OS and Analytics picture look like?  This presentation will show a view from a DB2 z/OS perspective that provides a perspective of exploiting IBM System z, save money and improve business processes.
