This session continues our deep dive into the Inner Workings and Hidden Mechanisms of z13 FICON Performance that began in the part 1 session.
This technical session goes into a deeper discussion on some of the design considerations of a z13 FICON I/O infrastructure. Among the topics this session will focus on how FICON utilizes buffer credits, bottleneck detection for conditions such as slow drain devices and other techniques for managing switched-FICON performance.
This is the second of two sessions, by this speaker, focusing on z13 FICON I/O infrastructure performance.
