In this MVS Core Technologies Project Opening session, the Project Manager (PM) will discuss the topics this project covers, introduce the volunteers who support the project, and explain how you can assist us in an ongoing, or even infrequent basis. The PM will point out some new sessions presented by the project, highlight some sessions hosted by other projects we believe are relevant to our platform, and cover any other administrivia you should know about.
Jeff Magdall, IBM, will give us a z/OS 2.2 preview, then John Shebey from IBM Level 2, will talk about recent PMRs and APARs.
Next, our speaker from the Washington Systems Center (WSC), Riaz Ahmad, will discuss Hot Topics in System z hardware and z/OS software, products and service, Parallel Sysplex, and anything else related to the z/OS operating system.
