Mainframe and Mobile Perfect Together

System z is highly successful in traditional mission-critical enterprise workloads and is also well suited for new business opportunities presented by mobile computing. In this presentation, a demo will be provided that highlights an end-to-end example of building a mobile application for patient monitoring that is powered by System z. This application connects to new Bluetooth biosensors to collect information about the user's physical state and mental state, as well as providing a mechanism for the user to report when prescribed medication is taken. The presentation illustrates how this application can be built using Rational Developer for the Enterprise development tooling that supports building all the components of the solution.
