The "Configuration Assistant for z/OS Communications Server" has been available for several releases as a z/OSMF-based tool for configuring policy-based networking functions. In z/OS V2R2, the Configuration Assistant was rewritten to use Liberty WebSphere. This change has improved the installation, customization, and usage of the tool, providing the capability for configuring the TCP/IP stack itself.

Complete this lab (Part 1 of 2) to configure, load, and test AT-TLS (Application Transparent - Transport Layer Security), Policy Based Routing, and Quality of Service policies. Or complete the companion lab (Part 2 of 2) to configure, load, and test Defense Manager Demon, Intrusion Detection Services, IPsec, and Network Security Services. Or attend both session to complete both labs.

Tracks: IT Services Delivery, Network Systems, New z13 and z Systems and z/OS Systems Programming
