IBM
Biographical Sketch: See: https://about.me/mike_fulton I have worked on IBM's Enterprise Systems, predominantly System z and p, for the last 25 years. My goal has been, and continues to be, making developers lives easier. I am an IBM Distinguished Engineer and CTO for Enterprise DevOps. I lead a portfolio of products centred around development and test tools for IBM's Enterprise Systems. My background is in software close to the metal, spanning all aspects of compilers, debuggers, profilers, and development environments for C, C++, Java, COBOL and PL/I. I have a deep understanding of IBM's key hardware, operating systems and middleware. Among other roles, I led the C/C++ compiler team for z/OS, the architect for WebSphere Real Time (a Java Virtual Machine running with maximum delays below 1ms), technical lead for the z/Linux and z/OS Java JIT, technical lead for System z and AIX hardware profilers, and most recently, chief architect for Rational Developer for Power: a comprehensive suite of tools for C, C++, COBOL and RPG for the Power platforms (AIX, Linux on Power and IBM i). I am also a Master Inventor at IBM.
