Biographical Sketch: For the last 35 years, Phil has done time providing and managing user support, systems programming, performance analysis, and security, focused on z/VM, Linux for z Systems, and z/OS. He is currently Senior Product Manager and Architect, Mainframe and Enterprise, at HP Security Voltage, Inc., where he has architected the z/OS product line, served as the z/OS SME, and generally caused trouble. Phil also creates technical reference books, contributes to trade journals, speaks at SHARE and local user groups, and tracks IBM evolution.
