IBM Corporation
Biographical Sketch: I graduated from NMSU in 1989 with a BS in Comp Sci and minors in Math and Economics and started working for IBM in San Jose, CA, as a software developer for the Storage Division. The first 12 years of my career with IBM was focused on DFSMS software development, specifically with access methods and device support for storage hardware. I then refocused my attention to distributed storage and spent 4 years as a project manager bringing to market a new product for storage management. I then returned to DFSMS, where I continued to work with the development teams to translate key market and customer requirements into product deliverables as the DFSMS PDT Leader. After 25 years with IBM, my current position is as the DFSMS Product Strategist, focused on defining and enhancing DFSMS strategic direction and roadmaps. I work closely with various development teams to drive plans to deliver solutions that enable market success and growth for z Systems Storage software.
