The Catalog Search Interface is a documented external interface that is used to retrieve catalog information for data sets. It is a flexible, powerful interface that can be invoked by REXX and other languages. This capability allows an installation to extend their ability to programmatically get and process information about cataloged data sets. The speaker will discuss the options and capabilities available in the interface, and show examples of what information is available. This session will be an in-depth technical discussion with examples and has been updated to include new information and examples.
