Handouts
  • Intro to Printing on z/OS (581.2 kB)
  • Just how do all of those reports, bills, checks, invoices, and other output get produced?  Most traditional businesses depend on print for generating revenue and for customer/client communication. So, how does all this printing get produced? Does it all go to paper? What does it have to do with me? What do I as a systems or application programmer, designer or manager need to know to keep customers and the business happy and printers humming? This session will explore print from it's origins in applications, getting it to spool, the printer, archives and electronic delivery. We'll discuss print delivery methods and data streams and how they work on z/OS.
