Handouts
  • Planning for IBM ELAs (496.5 kB)
  • Curious about IBM Enterprise License Agreements (ELAs) and their implications for your enterprise's budget? If so, then this is the session for you!

IBM Enterprise License Agreements (ELAs) may offer advantages for customers, but customers need to understand the details of how Monthly License Charge (MLC) costs are handled within an ELA to avoid future surprise bills or overpaying IBM. Planning and communication is critical for this process and multiple skill sets, including capacity planning, should be an integral part of the ELA discussion.

Our speakers will provide a brief overview of the various IBM software license types and how those are handled within an ELA, with a focus on MLC impacts. They will then discuss items that an enterprise needs to consider and plan for as part of an ELA along with providing proven practice recommendations for activities before, during, and after ELA negotiations.

Our speakers will present this information from both the IBM and customer perspectives. Come join us for an interesting discussion and hear about ELAs in the real world.
