Handouts
  • Are Your Auditors and NIST Security Configuration Controls Driving You Crazy? Configuration Manager Implementation (2.4 MB)
  • In this session, the speakers will discuss how and why a company implemented the Vanguard Configuration Manager (VCM) to improve the security of their systems and supply auditors with necessary reports.  VCM's function is to review a z/OS configuration to ensure that it meets the standards of the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs).  This session will highlight a  user experience on how a major bank is using VCM to deal with Auditors - not to mention the NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) requirements.
