This presentation will cover the SYSOUT Application Program Interface (SSI 79) with a concentration on coding the JES SYSOUT API in assembler to obtain JES2 SYSOUT information. Additionally we will cover Extended Status Function Call (SSI 80), JES Properties (SSI 82), JES Device Information (SSI 83) and Modify Job Function (SSI 85). This presentation uses several assembler programming examples. An understanding of mainframe assembler is desirable to get the most out of this presentation.
