  • The speaker will give an in depth view of the new features in the newest releases of the Enterprise PL/I compiler and the z/OS XL C/C++ compiler.

    The PL/I compiler enhancements include numerous usability enhancements and performance improvements as well as the introduction of support for the new z/OS Decimal Floating Point hardware, and this talk will help you understand what this all means for you.  You have paid for these machines - this talk will show you how the latest compiler will help make that a wise investment.

    In addition, because PL/I and XL C/C++ share a lot of run-time characteristics, the speaker will also discuss the new features of the C/C++ run time.
