Biographical Sketch: Asit Dan, Chief Architect, z Services API Management, IBM Master Inventor, is responsible for IBM strategy and product innovation for exposing System z based assets as APIs. Earlier, he played a key role in developing SOA scenarios, especially leading development of scenarios for Information Services and Service Reuse in SOA Governance, and also has been an Innovation Leader in IBM SWG Business Process Optimization Group championing adoption of information-centric services, including analytics in business solutions. Prior to these roles, he led various IBM Research groups working on Service oriented and Autonomic computing, Transaction processing architectures, and Video servers. He has published extensively, including several book chapters, three books in these areas, and also served on many professional committees, including standards bodies, shaping WS-Agreement and ebXML CPPA.
