Biographical Sketch: Vance is a z Systems programmer at the Dallas IBM Innovation Center, focusing on Linux, z/OS and TCP/IP networking. After performing various geeky services for the US Army, he attended West Texas A&M University and graduated with a B.S. in C.S. in 2012. A long time Linux admin and opensource advocate, he's passionate about all aspects of computing and believes the mainframe is 'too important to fail'.
