We are all aware of the critical importance of providing good response times to our applications and also ensuring application availability. Very large amounts of resources have been invested in replicating data to ensure that applications remain available, even when catastrophic events occur. But, now that the money has been invested and the infrastructure created, do we know if we are providing the agreed service to our customers? Are we really prepared to avoid a disaster?
RMF provides us with a wealth of information that can be difficult to sift through to get to the “nuggets” that we need. The speaker will investigate what kind of information RMF can provide and should provide in the future to allow us to manage our storage performance and availability.
