Tuesday, August 5, 2014: 11:15 AM-12:30 PM
Room 402 (David L. Lawrence Convention Center)
Speakers: Mark Rader(IBM Corporation) and William Leininger(PNC)
Handouts
  • DB2 for z/OS Profiles: Customer Experience (510.9 kB)
  • What are DB2 Profiles?  Introduced in DB2 9 for z/OS and extended in DB2 10 for z/OS, Profiles provide a variety of exciting capabilities: ZPARMs at a more granular level than the subsystem, modeling production in test, and application specific behavior - all available via online changes!

Attendees will learn how to implement DB2 Profiles to exploit DB2 behavior with controls far more granular than ZPARMs.  Attendees will hear from a customer about why and how they implemented DB2 Profiles to address a specific problem.
