The definition of Big Data often stops at the unstructured sources such as Hadoop, and does not account for the many sources of structured data as well as other sources such as web pages and more. Business Analytics offerings must be able to consume and process a dizzying array of data from a vast number of sources.
Most enterprises would prefer to have a reduced set of business analytics tools in-house and have those ones they retain provide a wide and deep reach into the many data sources they wish to analyze.
This session will discuss the broader definition of Big Data in the context of Business Analytics as well as show examples of a business analytics tool and how it supports this broader definition as well as elements of best practices in taking on this expanded big data definition.
