Handouts
  • z/VM Single System Image and Live Guest Relocation Overview (708.8 kB)
  • z/VM Single System Image (SSI)  enhances the z/VM systems management, communications, disk management, device mapping, virtual machine definition management, installation, and service functions to enable up to four z/VM systems to share and coordinate resources in a cluster. This combination of enhanced functions provides the foundation that enables Live Guest Relocation (LGR), which provides the ability to move a Linux guest from one z/VM system to another within the SSI cluster. Come to this session for an overview of these new capabilities that were introduced in z/VM 6.2.
