  • As the Linux on System z environment continues to grow, the need for software and solutions to manage this environment also grows. This session will focus on backing up and restoring data and disks for z/VM and Linux on System z. It will include live demos of how to back up and restore z/VM and Linux on System z data, including automation.

    The scenarios will include considerations for a z/VM SSI cluster (using z/VM V6.2.)

    The demos will use IBM's management software for z/VM and Linux on System z, but the presentation will include requirements for implementing the scenarios with other software.
