With all the data breaches hitting the news lately, we, in the mainframe community are fortunate that our z/OS mainframes have not been breached.  If the mainframe is ever breached, its reputation as the most secure platform will be damaged and this will make the position of moving more and more workload off the mainframe much easier for its detractors.   The mainframe is the most “securable” system and this session will highlight the areas I have found that must be addressed to keep it the most secure system available.
