  • During this week at SHARE, you've heard about many trends that are impacting IT: Mobile, Cloud, Big Data and Analytics, Social Networking, etc. As businesses take advantage of these innovations, more of the processing can and should be moved to the mainframe for all the reasons we know and love, such as reliability, scalability, and most important, security.

Do you understand the maturation process that all trends follow, and where the mainframe traditionally fits in that cycle? As a company, can you culturally and technically incorporate these trends when (not if) the business demands them? We'll discuss at some real life examples and the lessons learned, applicable sources to research, and then review this week's high points as they apply to innovation.

Tracks: Application Development, Big Data - Big Analytics - Big Needs, Cloud in the Enterprise, Dark Side of Virtualization, Mobile and Social Networking in the Enterprise and User Experience
