  • System Automation for z/OS: Beginner's Hands-On Lab part 1 and 2 (1.5 MB)
  • In this exercise you will create an automation policy for a new Application that is a member of an Application Group. You will also define common policy in an Application Class. You will then build automation configuration files and test your policy definitions.

    At the end of the lab, you should be able to use the SA z/OS Customization Dialog to:

    • Define an Application Class
    • Define an Application, link it to the Application Class
    • Run the build process, generate the configuration files for the SA z/OS Automation Manager and Automation Agent.
    • Load and test your policy definitions
