Biographical Sketch: Dickson Chau is an Advisory Software Developer for the IBM XL compilers optimizing backend, at the IBM Toronto Software Lab. He joined IBM 9 years ago, after graduating from the University of Waterloo, at Ontario, Canada, with a B.Math in Honours Computer Science. Over these years, Dickson has made a number of functional and performance enhancements to the XL C/C++ AIX, Cell BE, Linux on Power, and z/OS compilers' high-level optimizer and the optimizing back-end component. In his current role, he is leading the team in the performance of the z/OS XL C/C++ compiler.
