Biographical Sketch: Ken has extensive experience in data center and mainframe management, processes and techniques. With over 30 years as a Systems Programmer, Working Manager, and Technical advisor, Ken has developed many thoughtful and innovative processes and procedures covering z/VSE, z/VM, and z/OS. Ken is highly motivated and results-oriented with extensive information technology experience. He possesses strong leadership and successful team building capabilities with excellent technical and communication skills. Ken’s keen sense for innovation has advanced both mainframe and midrange platforms to minimize efforts required by his teams to provide best in class service. This frequently involves challenging existing methodologies and practices to create better results with easily repeatable and maintainable processes. His technical leadership and strategic decision-making at the project planning and management level has enhanced current and future-state information systems and enterprise structure. Ken’s extensive background is strategic to building pristine mainframe environments on the distributed platform. Hands on technical knowledge of z/VM, z/OS, and the many facets of a data center are direct links to the creative processes and environments presented in his book (co-Author): Running Mainframe z on Distributed Platforms: How to Create Robust Cost-Efficient Multiplatform z Environments.
