Biographical Sketch:
Steve Ware is retired! He was formerly employed as a Systems Programmer/Coordinator at the University of Florida (UF) in Gainesville, FL, in the Mainframe Services group. He has been a SHARE Board Director, the SHARE CICS Project Manager, SHARE AADI Program Officer and was a SHARE volunteer starting in 1996. He has a BSBA in Business Administration from UF, graduating in 1979. Before starting work at UF in 1983, Steve worked at the Florida Farm Bureau Insurance Co. Steve has presented at SHARE, UF, AITP/DPMA, Gartner, Forrester, IBM System z Executive Briefing, CICS Level 2 and CICS Technical and Impact conferences. Steve has worked with CICS since 1981 and Linux since 1993. He has been both a CICS application and system programmer (since 1986). Steve was a visiting instructor at UF for 5 semesters, where he taught CICS in an "Information Systems Design and Development" course. Although he very much enjoyed working with UF, SHARE, Linux, CICS, IBM and the "mainframe enterprise super server", he is now focused on listening to and making music, playing frisbee/aerobie, and snow/water skiing.
