Biographical Sketch: Jim Stout is a Specialty Technical Consultant with EMC Corporation in Kansas City, Missouri. Jim has been with EMC for 17 years and is currently a member of the Global Mainframe Architecure Team. In this role, Jim provides presales technical support for the Disk Library for Mainframe (DLm) "Tape on Disk" family of products and VMAX DASD solutions. Prior to joining EMC, Jim was an Advisory Systems Engineer with Storage Technology Corporation. He was with Storage Technology for 12 years in various roles including postsales Software Support and presales technical support for the 4400 and 9300 families of Automated Cartridge Systems. For the majority of Jim's career, he has worked exclusively in data storage with emphasis on IBM Mainframe (MVS/XA, OS390 and z/OS) computing platforms.
