  • Ever wonder how the z/OS Communication Server Sysplex Distributor determines how to route connections in a Sysplex environment? This session will explore how Sysplex Distributor load-balances connections and will include an in-depth discussion of the various sources of information that Sysplex Distributor uses to autonomically determine the health of target systems and middle-ware applications, and how it factors this into the overall load balancing decision. Using real-world scenarios, we will then explore how Netview for z/OS, using its DVIPA management capabilities, can help users quickly discover and diagnose problems in this environment. Information will also be provided on DDVIPA statistical data that enables you to see how well your connections are being Distributed (the other D in DDVIPA).
