14620: WebSphere Liberty Profile on Windows AND z/OS (among other things) Hands-on Lab

Wednesday, March 12, 2014: 1:30 PM-2:30 PM
Platinum Ballroom Salon 7 (Anaheim Marriott Hotel)
Speakers: David Follis(IBM Corporation) , Mike Loos(IBM Corporation) , Michael Stephen(IBM Corporation) , John Hutchinson(IBM Corporation) and Kenneth Irwin(IBM Corporation)

z/OS MF is going to be based on WebSphere Liberty Profile. In this lab you can configure and start your very own Liberty Profile Server. See for yourself how simple it is for developers to get going with it on Windows and migrate that experience to z/OS. Its so easy there will certainly be time left to try out some of the other labs that take you through debugging timeouts, the WebSphere SMF records, the HPEL LogViewer, and the WAS Visual Configuration Explorer.

You may also want to attend session 14618: Getting Started with WebSphere Liberty Profile on z/OS for a technical overview of Liberty.

Tracks: Application Development, Cloud in the Enterprise and z/OS Systems Programming
