This session will be the kick-off for the Linux and VM Program for the week. We will spend a few minutes sharing some basic LVM information for the week and then turn over the session to IBM for the latest z/VM updates.

This fast moving session will survey all the latest news on z/VM. The focus will be on z/VM 6.3, the newest release of z/VM that became available on July 26,2013. z/VM 6.3 brings improvements in scalability, efficiency, and systems management. We will also take a brief look back at z/VM 6.2 in case you missed news on it as well. We'll point you to other sessions in the week where you can get additional information.
