CICS and Threadsafe: Exploiting the Open Transaction Environment

First introduced in CICS TS 1.3, access to the CICS Open Transaction Environment has consistently been enhanced by IBM. This session will cover a brief overview of what the OTE is, what "threadsafe" is, and why exploiting the OTE can reduce costs while improving performance. We will also review the various options available to application and systems related programmers wishing to make use of its capabilities.
