  • Abstract:   The speakers, from z/OS L2, will discuss the basic diagnostic steps used when a debugger is asked to analyze a problem.  What are the various kinds of problem documentation available for z/OS debugging?  How does one capture an SVC dump of a problem?   What are the preliminary diagnostic steps and IPCS commands that should be performed to get one's bearings in an SVC dump?   This will be an especially helpful and practical session for beginners in debugging.
