Handouts
  • Top 10 Perils of Going Tapeless (1.7 MB)
  • In this session, we will explore ten reasons why tape should be a critical component of any data protection or archiving solution.  You will learn why combining the strengths of tape technology with disk technology results in lower risk of data loss, faster performance, and lower costs than either technology can deliver on its own.  Much of the material in this presentation is based on input from customers who learned the hard way that a tapeless environment does not always result in lower costs, faster performance, and fewer headaches.  Whether you’ve already moved towards a tapeless architecture or are considering doing so, this session will provide you with insight that will enable you to minimize costs while maximizing the integrity and accessibility of your digital assets.
