13553: Achieving Massively Parallel Analytics with IBM PureData System

Tuesday, August 13, 2013: 3:00 PM-4:00 PM
Room 204 (Hynes Convention Center)

An introduction to the high-performance, massively parallel PureData System N2001 powered by Netezza technology. This new technology delivers three times faster performance on query time over its predecessor.  With the IBM DB2 Analytics Accelerator V3.1 new capabilities that extends the use of the current V2.1  bringing new value to our customers. This includes z/OS and High Performance Storage Saver (HPSS), new Incremental Update feature that allows near real-time decision support for all business analytics operations. A higher capacity that extends the current Netezza TwinFin to 10 frames/cabinets from the current 24 SPUs with an effective data capacity of 32TB up to a 960 SPUs, and data capacity of 1280 TB. We'll also touch on query prioritization with WLM, the UNLOAD Lite that offloads z/OS MIPS when transferring data to the DB2 Analytics Accelerator via table or partition load, and other functional and performance enhancements.
