  • Mobile IP (or IP mobility) is an Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) standard communications protocol that is designed to allow mobile device users to move from one network to another while maintaining a permanent IP address.   Learn how the Mobile IP protocol allows location-independent routing of IP datagrams on the Internet.    This major update to the protocol we use daily allows for many of the functions we are using in both our business and personal lives.
