This session will focus on ziomon, a tool for in-depth analysis of FCP performance on system z. It collects and correlates data from multiple sources, specifically the FCP adapter, blktrace and QDIO. The accompanying reporting tools with their like data filtering, aggregation and data export capabilities can be used for further analysis, providing a holistic view of the FCP traffic. This toolset can be especially interesting when debugging performance issues in the FCP environment.
The talk will provide an in-depth look at ziomon and its accompanying reporting tools, including: Overview, architecture, data collection, reporting, a live demo and various hints and tips.
