This session will focus solely on zFS sysplex sharing support. It will describe how zFS sysplex sharing works in conjunction with z/OS Unix Sharing, talk about migration procedures and how to properly exploit the function and when. It will show the performance results of zFS sysplex relative to z/OS Unix sharing and focus on the significant improvements made in z/OS 13 zFS over the initial function introduced in z/OS 11, including both performance, and RAS (reliability, availability and serviceability). Finally. it will make customers aware of some important service fixes introduced in summer 2012 and what environments might benefit from those fixes.
