Measuring and performance analysis of WebSphere Application Server (WAS) and J2EE transactions in the z/OS environment is not always easy using traditional z/OS monitors and SMF records. During this presentation Peter Enrico will present a step-by-step approach to conducting a performance analysis of WAS environment and of WAS transactions. A highlight of this presentation will be Peter’s overview of how to use the SMF 120.9 record to gain insights into the architecture and performance of your WAS transactions. During this presentation you will learn a great deal about WAS, J2EE, and how this critical application environment can be measured and tuned in your z/OS environment.
