The days are over when connectivity problems in the System z could be solved by z/OS personnel only. In today's modern multi-tier multi-platform application designs a new approach in network diagnosis is required.
While the z/OS packet trace is always a good start on the quest to the real root cause of a problem, unfortunately outside the System z the SYSTCPDA packet trace is not available and you have to deal with other types of network traces.
This session will walk you through the steps to identify the root cause of an EE packet loss problem resulting in a poor performing HPR Pipe due to a high NLP RETRANSMIT RATE.
