The speaker will describe how an administrator can determine what is occurring with zFS, a particular file, or file system and what to do if something goes wrong. Topics include: disk space usage, monitoring and dynamic file system growth, file system backup and application quiesce, handling system outages, software errors, diagnosing a hanging system or hanging applications, and zFS error recovery procedures. zFS and z/OS Unix commands that can be used to determine what is going on will be presented, important messages that get displayed when trouble may be occurring are also shown.
Attendance of this session does not require attendance of zFS Diagnosis I, however it does assume a basic working knowledge of zFS.
