Monday, February 4, 2013: 6:00 PM-7:00 PM
Union Square 23-24, Fourth Floor (San Francisco Hilton)
Speaker: Angie Greenhaw(IBM Corporation)
Handouts
  • DRD with Repository Lab (387.1 kB)
  • Come to this updated hands-on lab session to learn all about using IMS Dynamic Resource Definition (DRD) with the new IMS 12 repository function. Prior to IMS 12, multiple Resource Definition Data Sets were used to contain stored resource definitions, whereas the new IMS 12 repository function consolidates these definitions into a single location -- thereby simplifying and improving the resource management process. Setup of IMS repository environment components will be covered, including PROCLIB parameter specifications and the Common Service Layer (CSL). The IMS TSO SPOC application will also be introduced and we will cover how to issue DRD commands from it, targeting one or more systems in an IMSplex. This session can benefit users that currently use DRD in their shops, as well as users brand new to the DRD concept.
