Biographical Sketch: Jeff Westenhaver has over 25 years of experience in both IT Operations and in Application Development, where he has experienced the trials of releasing applications into production. Jeff is currently the Global Product Marketing Manager at Serena Software where he develops and executes marketing campaigns for the Release Management and Mainframe solutions from Serena. Throughout his career, Jeff has held sales, marketing and also IT positions with hardware and software companies, including Hitachi Data Systems and BMC Software; he also spent considerable time at Exxon. Jeff is a dynamic presenter with previous speaking engagements at: • 2011 Serena Federal User Group Conference where Jeff delivered the Planning, Consulting + Automating Releases” presentation to attendees. • At Serena’s Global User Conference, xChange 2011, where he delivered the “Best Practices for Application Release Management on Mainframe and Distributed Systems” presentation. • Jeff will be delivering a presentation titled, “Best Practices for Application Release Management” at the 2012 Software Systems Best Practices Conference in October.
