Biographical Sketch: Mike Baskey is an IBM Distinguished Engineer responsible for the System Z Management strategy. He joined IBM in 1978 in White Plains, NY. Mike has worked around the mainframe for most of his career and renewed his focus with the design for the new zEnterprise management architecture and is now responsible for Z systems management, including cloud and analytics. Mike is a member of the IBM Academy of Technology, a Master Inventor and recently chaired the DMTF standards body from 2007-2012.
