Biographical Sketch: Tom is a Senior Software Developer for Compuware Corporation, working on the Abend-AID product. Prior to that, he had 20 years experience as an MVS System Programmer. Earlier, as an Amdahl SE Specialist, his speciality was "the computer room and its contents," providing both hardware and software support, including dump analysis. He started as an application programmer under MVT, where he used Cobol and Assembler to code batch and online applications as well as system utilities. He learned to read dumps very early in his career.
