Brocade Communications Systems
Biographical Sketch: Currently a member of a select team at Brocade headquarters focused on FICON and System z technologies, David Lytle has forty three years in the computer industry, including ten years as an end-user of which seven were spent as a mainframe systems programmer. David has spent thirty three years in the vendor world with positions at Amdahl, StorageTek, REAL Solutions (an IBM BP), McDATA and Brocade. Dave is an industry-recognized expert on ESCON, FICON, and mainframe I/O. He is a regular speaker at industry/vendor conferences such as SHARE and the Brocade Technical Conference. He is also a published author on Mainframe I/O and FICON. Dave’s papers have appeared in zJournal and the CMG Proceedings. David is an active volunteer in the SHARE user group conferences. Dave is a Brocade Certified Architect for FICON and was among the first to achieve this widely regarded professional certification.
