  • Leadership Through Technology (1.8 MB)
  • At this late afternoon session, come enjoy a beer courtesy of UNICOM Global and participate in a lively discussion with UNICOM Global’s CEO, Corry Hong, as he talks about "leadership through technology", a critical success factor for IT management today. It's not only about the right choice of tool or architecture - leadership includes developing efficient solutions, product and platform neutrality and understanding how to advance the business needs by orchestrating disparate parts to move in the right direction. This will be a lively discussion to compare and contrast your ideas including, how to align IT assets for better efficiency through consolidation and integration, using technology to best utilize your human capital investment, and the implementation of important standards such as Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and how they affect IT management success. You'll takeaway several ideas to put to use back in your environment and improve your ability to "lead through technology.”

Corry is not only the founder and CEO of UNICOM, he is also the Company’s software architect and a CICS internals expert who has a deep pedigree in the mainframe business.  Corry is making a point of visiting customers and organizations throughout 2012 to help to give back to the same mainframe community he has spent more than 30 years working with. Corry will also talk about one of his key concerns, the loss of jobs in the U.S. mainframe community, and some of the initiatives UNICOM is putting in place to improve this for the future.

It’s a great opportunity to meet with an industry leader and share your thoughts and experiences!
