  • System z applications often contain critical business logic that can be implemented as business rules. Capturing the business rules from the COBOL code and externalizing and managing them in a dedicated Decision Management product has become an important concern for companies as part of their modernization projects to increase their business agility, time to market and business/IT alignment objectives. This session introduces WebSphere Operational Decision Management for z/OS (WODM for z/OS), outlines different usage scenarios for applications that integrate business rules, and describes best practices for implementation for rule execution.  Note:  WODM is the evolution of IBM products formerly known as ILOG BRMS and WebSphere Business Events (WBE).
